If your child has an accident at home, please tell your child’s key worker about it so that we can keep a particular eye on your child while they are at Nursery.
If he or she has an accident while they are at Nursery, we will give your child First Aid. We will note the accident in our accidents’ book and tell you what has happened. A member of staff and a parent or carer will need to sign this record. If we think that medical treatment is necessary, we will try to contact you. If we are unable to reach you, a member of staff will take your child to the Casualty Department of the Royal Free Hospital, Pond Street, Hampstead. We will continue to try to contact you so that you can join your child at the hospital. In a major emergency we will call an ambulance to take your child to hospital.
Please make sure that we have up to date contact details for you so that we can always reach you while your child is at Nursery. Please also make sure that we have any relevant medical information about your child.
Please leave your mobile phone turned on whilst your child is at Nursery.
We are not allowed to administer any medicine to your child, except in the case of asthma or nut allergy when we will use your inhaler or Epipen to help your child, provided we have your written permission. If your child suffers from asthma, or a nut allergy please make sure that we have the correct equipment, any instructions that we might need and a letter giving us your permission to administer treatment to your child.
