We have a very strict policy relating to the collection of children from the nursery. This policy is in place to protect your children. The collection procedure is outlined below:
1 All persons whom are to collect your child from the nursery MUST have their details entered onto your child’s ‘Collection Authority Form’ (except current Fordwych parents are we already have their details on file. Please see Note 4)
2 All persons whom are to collect your child from the nursery MUST either be introduced to us or bring photographic identification with them e.g. passport or photograph driver’s licence
3 All persons whom are to collect your child MUST be over the age of 16 years
4 If anyone is to collect your child from nursery other than his or her parent or main carer it MUST be written in the diary located in the kitchen (am) or the blue classroom (pm) (this includes current Fordwych parents)
Please note that this procedure MUST be followed if anyone other than the child’s parent or main carer is to collect them from nursery. This includes parents who do not live at the same address as the child, any relatives (Inc Grandparents, siblings, Aunts, Uncles Etc.), aupairs and any one else.
THERE WILL BE NO EXCEPTIONS MADE TO THESE RULES and we will NEVER take instructions over the telephone.

Please make every effort to collect your child on time. It is unfair to expect staff to stay at the Nursery in their own time. We will make a charge of £5 per 15 minutes to parents who are late collecting their child. After an hour we are required by law to contact Social Services. If there is an emergency that will unavoidably delay the collection of a child, please contact the Nursery immediately.
Nursery is open a minimum of 36 weeks per year and term dates for half term, Christmas, Easter and Summer are roughly the same as Camden and Brent schools. Details of holidays will be given to parents and carers at the start of the Nursery year as part of the newsletter which is sent out at the beginning of every year |
